Transitional Kindergarten Class

 We have a school readiness program for children that are making the transition to  school the following year. Some of the  activities include: pre-writing, pre-reading activities, numeracy, social skills, scissor skills, group times, Ants in the Apple program and ABC Reading eggs. Each Fortnight we visit Glenreagh Public School and visit the school library. This helps the children become familiar with the school grounds and teachers. Our children making the transition to school are in a seperate grouping at group times to prepare them for school expectations.  Parents are encouraged to borrow from our parent library literature on helping their child with their transition to school.
